Delicious! This seems to be looser than previous almond butter I’ve had from Artisana and I like this so much more. Easier to stir, easier to spread.

Healthy concern

I love many things about this product. However, I'm concerned with eating almonds that are unblanched, which removes sone of the phytic acid. Phytic acid can decrease the absorption of some minerals such as calcium. Please comment.

HI mIndy,
Our Almond Butter is raw and blanching requires that the almonds be lowered into boiling water or they would need to be soaked (sometimes in brine which is salt water). Which would then require us to remove the moisture which adds multiple steps to the process. We try and process as minimally as possible therefore we do not soak, brine or blanch the almonds. We do lightly steam. The steam aspect is light particle steam for a short amount of time, and it involves vacuum pressure as well. Almond nutrients are retained, and FDA rules are met using this process.
